Worship God in Spirit
At the age of 22 I received the Lord and started meeting with a Brethren assembly. I wanted to know how to contact God in my daily
life but nobody seemed to have the answer. After 18 months I became quite discouraged.
Then I was invited to a meeting of the church in Wellington. I was asked if I would like to come to a meeting where everyone
enjoys the Lord and everyone functions. I was shown a diagram that man is composed of three parts—body, soul and spirit. I found out that my human spirit is a container for God, and in order to contact God I just
needed to exercise my spirit by calling on the name of the Lord.
That night I knew that my search had ended. I found out that the Triune God (Father, Son and Spirit) deeply longs to reach man and
that man deeply longs to reach the Triune God. I found the secret was to exercise my spirit.
“God is Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and reality”—John 4:24. H.J.
